5. Product Availability

Because To The Pointe-Shoe Store is a specialty retailer with rapidly changing inventory, products displayed online or on our social media pages may no longer be available at the time a request is submitted.

Submitting a Product Request Form, sending a message, or contacting the store does not guarantee product availability or reserve merchandise.

Orders are considered accepted only after confirmation from To The Pointe-Shoe Store and completion of any required payment.

6. Dancewear Sizing Disclaimer

Dancewear and dance shoes are sized differently than everyday clothing and footwear.

Sizing varies significantly among manufacturers and styles.

Customers should not rely solely on their street shoe or clothing size when selecting products.

Whenever possible, we encourage customers to visit our store for a professional fitting or contact our team for sizing assistance before placing an order.

Because sizing is unique to each dancer, To The Pointe-Shoe Store cannot guarantee fit for products purchased without an in-person fitting.

 

7. Pointe Shoe Policy

Professional pointe shoe fitting is one of the specialty services offered by To The Pointe-Shoe Store.

Our recommendations are based upon:

• Foot structure

• Training history

• Strength

• Flexibility

• Mobility

• Manufacturer specifications

• Information provided by the dancer, parent or guardian, and instructor

A properly fitted pointe shoe contributes to comfort and performance but cannot eliminate the risk of injury.

Pointe shoes should only be worn under the supervision of a qualified dance instructor.

To The Pointe-Shoe Store strongly recommends professional in-person fittings before purchasing pointe shoes.

We reserve the right to decline a pointe shoe fitting or sale if, in our professional judgment, a dancer may not yet be physically prepared for pointe work or if additional guidance from the dancer's instructor is appropriate.

 

8. Professional Services Disclaimer

To The Pointe-Shoe Store provides educational services including private instruction, consultations, workshops, and professional fittings.

These services are based upon professional training, experience, industry standards, and observations made during the appointment.

They are intended to supplement—not replace—instruction received from a qualified dance teacher.

9. Appointment, Consultation & Lesson Policies

To provide every dancer with individualized attention, many of our professional services are offered by appointment.

Appointments include, but are not limited to:

Appointment Changes

Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible.

Late Arrivals

Customers arriving more than 15 minutes late may have their appointment shortened or rescheduled to avoid delaying other scheduled appointments.

No-Show Appointments

Customers who repeatedly miss appointments without notice may be required to prepay future appointments or may lose priority scheduling privileges.

After-Hours Appointments

After-hours appointments may be available by approval and are subject to an additional service fee.

 

10. Summer Intensive Consultations & Private Lessons

Our educational services are designed to support dancers through individualized instruction, goal setting, and injury prevention.

Private lessons and consultations may include:

• Summer Intensive Preparation

• Flexibility

• Performance Readiness

These services are educational and are intended to complement—not replace—instruction provided by a dancer's studio or qualified dance instructor.

Participation in any lesson or consultation does not guarantee acceptance into a summer intensive, competition results, scholarship awards, or future dance opportunities.

 

11. Special Orders

To better serve our customers, To The Pointe-Shoe Store is pleased to offer special-order merchandise.

Please note:

• Special orders may require advance payment or a deposit.

• Manufacturer production schedules are outside our control.

• Estimated delivery dates are estimates only.

• Backorders and shipping delays may occur.

• Manufacturers may discontinue products without notice.

• Colors, dye lots, trims, packaging, and materials may vary slightly between production runs.

Unless otherwise required by law, special-order merchandise is considered Final Sale and may not be canceled, returned, or exchanged once an order has been placed with the manufacturer.

If a manufacturer permanently discontinues an item before fulfillment, we will work with the customer to identify an appropriate alternative or issue a refund when applicable.

 

12. Shipping & Local Pickup

We currently ship within the United States only.

Orders are generally processed within 3–4 business days, although processing times may vary during holidays and peak dance seasons.

Orders are shipped using UPS.

Customers will receive shipment tracking information once their order has been processed.

Local in-store pickup is available during normal business hours at no additional charge.

Once a package has been accepted by the shipping carrier, delivery times and carrier delays are outside the control of To The Pointe-Shoe Store LLC.

 

13. Returns & Exchanges

We want every customer to love their purchase while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and hygiene.

Unless otherwise stated:

• All sales are final.

• Eligible merchandise may be exchanged or receive store credit within 30 days of purchase.

• Refunds are not offered except where required by applicable law.

To qualify for an exchange or store credit, merchandise must be:

• Unworn

• Unwashed

• Free from makeup, deodorant, perfume, smoke, pet hair, and odors

• Returned with original tags attached

• Returned in original packaging when applicable

We reserve the right to refuse any exchange that does not meet these requirements.

Dance is a physically demanding activity that carries inherent risks.

Customers acknowledge that participation in dance instruction, pointe work, strength training, fittings, workshops, and related activities involves the possibility of falls, strains, sprains, fractures, and other injuries.

By participating in professional services offered by To The Pointe-Shoe Store, customers voluntarily assume these risks.

Certain services require the completion of a separate Liability Waiver and Photo & Video Release before participation.

Everything created for To The Pointe-Shoe Store reflects years of professional experience, education, creativity, and investment.

Unless otherwise indicated, all content appearing on this website and in our educational materials—including text, photographs, graphics, logos, illustrations, videos, downloadable resources, blog articles, marketing materials, educational handouts, and other original works—is owned by or licensed to To The Pointe-Shoe Store LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

For example, "Spaghetti Syndrome" & “The Cinderella Fit TTP Method” is used by To The Pointe-Shoe Store as an educational phrase to help explain the temporary coordination and strength changes that may occur during periods of rapid growth in young dancers. It is intended as a teaching tool only and is not a medical diagnosis or recognized medical condition.

Our educational resources—including original terminology, illustrations, and teaching materials—may not be reproduced or distributed for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

 

17. Artificial Intelligence & Automated Data Collection

The original content published by To The Pointe-Shoe Store represents significant time, expertise, and creative effort.
